Front Porch Digital announced the launch of the new version of its new content storage management, DIVArchive 6.0. This version of DIVArchive is built on a set of powerful features, including interoperability enhanced with the emerging technologies of companies associated with Front Porch Digital for improved performance customers with network-based APIs, refinements to the file system interfaces and database support clustered.
The new version also will be expanded to include the new Avid Interplay interface, which will allow the expansion of content storage SD and HD for Avid Unity and Avid-based infrastructures Interplay, easily and transparently.

DIVArchive allows content owners create a storage system of unified content in near-online libraries of discs and tapes, managing content throughout the lifecycle of the same: from the intake to its long preservation term. With the optional content management system DIVAdirector, users can search and view from any desktop computer and automatically transcode different formats in order to provide interoperability between production systems based on records.
The Storage Plan Manager (SPM), of DIVArchive, automatically manages the migration of disc contents almost online and stored on tapes. SPM acts in accordance with the parameterizable business rules that allow you to monitor when the content was last used time and how long it has been stored, allowing the design of customer-tailored storage policies for each object or set of objects.
DIVArchive maximizes resources of the network, accurately retrieving the stored portion required for use in an online deposit. Content can be recovered instantly while reading data of the tape in order to minimize recovery time of the content. Partial recovery function saves time and resources only when a small portion of a large size is required. The parallel architecture of movement of data and dynamic resource allocation ensures that DIVArchive is always mobilizing files to the highest speed possible. DIVArchive can use multiple network connections to video servers to achieve even higher transfer speeds and fault resistance in the ports.
