Element Technica will unveil the Pulsar and production models of its 3D Neutron Rigs. The Pulsar is designed to stereoscopically mount medium-sized, box-like digital cameras, such as the Scarlt, Epic, SI-2K, Sony EX3 and P1, with ENG-type lenses.
The Neutron was designed for smaller HD cameras, including SI-2K, Iconix and Wige Media CUNIMA, carrying C-mount lenses. The two new platforms are added to the Quasar lineup, designed for larger cameras, including Sony HDC-1500, P1 and F23/35, Genesis, RED ONE, ARRI D-21 and Phantom with primer lenses or zoom lenses.
Technica's 3D Rigs have gained popularity in the industry since the introduction of Quasar at IBC 2009. The Quasar were used for the South African Football World Cup, the French Open and the six-nation European rugby tournament. It was also used in the production of 3D feature films such as "The Darkest Hour", "Napoleon" and "The Mortician". Also debuting at the Element Technica booth at IBC is the handheld controller for the firm's Rigs. The controller gives a familiar look to school-trained camera assistants of standard lens controls.
