NewTek announced the promotion of Ralph Messana as sales director for Latin America. Messana, who was previously sales director for the company, will be in charge of building and supporting distribution efforts of NewTek in Latin American and Caribbean channels, as well as the management of sales in those regions. The NewTek office for the region is in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Messana has been involved with digital video since 1988. Joined NewTek in 1997 as a salesperson of the east coast. He left NewTek in 2002 to start TMG Productions with Don Balance, where they were known as Toasterdudes, and developed the Arsenal 3D animated product line. NewTek acquired TMG Productions in January 2006, and brought from new to Messana and Ballance to the company, along with the famous Arsenal 3D franchise. Messana has also worked as sales director and product manager.
