Sundance Digital unveiled Sundance Archive Engine, a cost-effective and reliable solution, designed specifically for the management of video in broadcast environments. Ideal for small stations, Sundance Archive Engine is a fully integrated and configured archiving solution, which allows telecasters to easily recover material from archive and spend fewer man-hours on video recovery and asset management.

The engine, which allows users more video at hand with automated management, reduce the possibility of accidentally deleting important material when you want to free up space on the server and allows easily recover material to increase the efficiency of the increased workflow.
Built on an Avid chassis 16-drive and system-based storage Operating Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the drive features drives 500 gigabyte Sata, a hardware Raid controller, Flashnet SGL and the Sundance Archive Engine application software. The Sundance Archive Engine communicates with FlashNet to issue, take out, send and delete requests to the engine. The application Sundance Archive Manager, which monitors media on the server at air and nearline data storage, decide which clips should be sent and retrieved from Sundance Archive Engine.
In addition to providing a solution cost-effective for broadcasters, the Sundance Archive Engine:
- Interact with systems Titan Automation, FastBreak NXT Automation and FastBreak NXT Xpress to provide up to 6.37 terabytes (TB) nearline Raid 5 data storage for use in conjunction with any server Sundance video certificate.
- Has a motherboard server type, mirrored system drives and a triple redundant power system.
- Offers external connectivity via Gigabit Ethernet.
- Work with the powerful SQL databases in Sundance applications Digital to provide users with maximum flexibility when making file decisions.
