Snell & Wilcox and Barco announced the integration of a system that offers multichannel broadcasters the most advanced solution in the industry for television quality monitoring.
The two companies completed the integration of the Barco Hydra display processor with Snell & Wilcox's RollCall control and monitoring software suite , as well as the award-winning Hyperion content monitoring system.
The integration of the complementary systems of Snell & Wilcox and Barco allows the alarm data for the quality control of the RollCall, Snell & Wilcox and Hyperion systems to be deployed in the Hydra monitoring interface, from Barco. This allows quality control personnel to now simultaneously monitor the audio, video and metadata of a greater number of channels than were previously possible with conventional systems. Additionally, with integration, the increased degree of automation for alarm management and visualization allows operators to respond faster to minimize any disruption. As a result, multi-channel platform operators will now be able to deliver higher quality services while continuing to benefit from efficiency gains.
