Avid Technology, Inc. announced the delivery of native workflow and editing support for HDV intended for your Avid Xpress Pro PC-based products and Media Composer Adrenaline, in October 2005. Customers who acquired the Media Composer Adrenaline HD 2.x system with a assurance contract, or an Avid Xpress Pro HD 5.x system before October 17 they will be able to receive, at no cost, the software updates for HDV when released to market.
Although HDV still is relatively new as a format, there is no doubt that has a significant impact on the market, due to its early adoption by broadcasters, post-production facilities and independent producers said Patrick McLean, Avid's senior product manager. Our clients have asked Avid to support this new format, and we are pleased to announce its delivery.
