RCN TV of Colombia selected the Sony HDCAM cameras, HDC-1500 to add even more value to its productions and enter fully into the era of high definition. Fever for HD television (High Definition), considered as the biggest revolution of the small screen since the introduction of color apparatus in 1954, is touring to the world, and the main Latin American chains are riding the wave of modernization, holding hands with Sony.
For RCN, the selection of the HDC-1500 cameras was a relatively easy process, as that the versatility of the equipment guarantees a transition without Setbacks. HDC-1500 cameras can operate under any type of format, from an analog studio, to a multi-camera production in high definition, HD 60 Progressive, said Andrés Galeano, technical vice president RCN TV of Colombia. In this way, the HDC-1500 can be combined without complications with any of Sony's previous cameras, while colorimetry adapts perfectly. It's a top-notch product, the executive added. Cameras HDC-1500, which generate a 1080/60P signal, and 14 converter bits ensure that computers can be accommodated to any transmission standard without losing quality.
The converter, in addition to being a product with the Sony brand, it is one of the features of these cameras that we like the most, Galeano said. The 14 bits are second to none and is what I like most about this model. This allows the camera to operate within a more dynamic and wider range.
In the same way, the HDC 1500 set new standards in quality of results and flexibility operational, since it is a portable camera that incorporates a CCD sensor and novel digital processing to obtain unparalleled image quality.
This model allows the use of all the most widespread interlaced and progressive formats, as well such as the transmission of digital signals by bandwidth complete by fiber optic connection, at a distance of up to 10 kilometers, without degradation or signal loss.
The HDC-1500 is part of the Sony's new family of high-definition products that includes, among others, the HDC-1000 camera, the optical adapter HDLA-1500 Studio Camera, HDC-1000 Studio Camera and Camera PORTABLE triaxial HDC-1550.
