Kramer Electronics announced its newest addition to the popular Kramer Tools line: the VS-30FW FireWire repeater/hub.
The Kramer VS-30FW is a three-port FireWire repeater/hub. Compatible with IEEE1394b 800 Mbps (S800) high-speed signals, it also supports IEEE1394a FireWire at speeds of 400 Mbps, 200M bps and 100 Mbps (S400, S200, S100). In fact, various accessories can be connected with different speeds and the VS-30FW will give you the best service.
Various Kramer VS-30FW hubs can create cascading systems of up to 63 ports. The repeater/hub also allows hot plugging or hot swapping and supports plug-and-play standards. This machine effectively extends the operating range standard 15 feet (4.5 meters) for DV/FireWire signals, and can even double the range when using the right wiring.
