Four Ecuadorian television stations migrate their systems to AP ENPS

Reporters and producers, located in Quito and Guayaquil, will be able to participate in programming and even manage hardware in an integrated way from the two cities. The AP system, which works with the MOS protocol, allows you to share resources remotely such as closure management, planning and others.

Teleamazonas Television, TC Television, Gamavisión, and Cablevisión operate in the Ecuador's main metropolitan centers: Quito, nested on the Andes, and Guayaquil, port at sea level, on the shores of the Guayas River. With the employment of ENPS, reporters and producers from these two cities will be able to collaborate in the programming of the news and will even be able to control the broadcasting hardware of each one, thanks to the Media Object Server (MOS) protocol.

With ENPS, you are broadcasters have been migrating to an environment without tapes, with the most advanced news writing system available in the world. Each integrates ENPS with NewsEdit and NewsQPro, from Thomson Grass Valley, using the MOS protocol, which offers the two remote teams unparalleled capabilities to share resources instantly. The synchronization of gradual closures between the ENPS and the character generators and of stored still images, as well as prompters, have been simplified through the proven capabilities of synchronization.

"Our base of broadcasters using ENPS in Latin America continue growing, and the main reasons for such growth are unrivalled innovation and integration through protocol MOS," said Lee Perryman, executive director of services OF AP diffusion and director of diffusion technology.

The ENPS has been designed by and for television reporters, as it satisfies all types of news writing environments. It's powerful, easy to use and includes facilities for managing closures, planning, contacts, messaging, news cables, and third-party devices, as well as screenwriting in almost all languages, a search engine totally integrated and remote access capabilities for employees in field.

AP provides technology for the most of the world's largest and most demanding broadcasters, and ENPS is now employed by more than 40,000 reporters, writers, editors and producers in more than 500 theatres writing in 48 countries. According to a statement from the company, the AP systems have been installed in more than a third of the newsrooms of news around the world and are the more widely adopted among the production systems of television news and network news in the Americas, with a market share of more than 45%.
