IDX System Technology, supplier of batteries, chargers and power supplies for television equipment and video professionals today introduced the X-3 portable professional camera light, which uses cool and powerful LEDs to create a high-intensity, low-power light source for ENG/EFP video production applications in the most difficult ciles situations.
Designed for television reporting and other similar applications, the X-3 camera light offers cold, long-lasting lighting for a lifespan of 10,000 hours before requiring a replacement. Its LEDs produce a 35 W output with a daylight color temperature, consuming only 11 W of power. The X-3's ultra-low power consumption is critical in any recording situation where extended use of battery operation is required.
Because they are solid-state, LED lighting units do not need safety glass, dichroic filters, or spare bulbs, plus they reduce or virtually eliminate camera heating. With these heat-free LEDs, the X-3 ensures that operators, characters, filters and jellies do not suffer the consequences of light heat.
