Telestream announces expanded support for Apple Macintosh platforms with new automated workflow solutions. Enhancements to Telestream's FlipFactory and MAP products facilitate the fully digital workflows of the Mac community. The new Flip4Mac products, which bridge the gap between Mac and PC formats, simplify exporting and importing files directly onto your Macs.
Telestream adds support to the high-performance XSAN network file storage system. FlipFactory now allows Final Cut Pro workgroups to be connected via an XSAN network for immediate media and metadata exchange between a wide range of professional video devices – including all known media servers, NLEs, asset management systems, streaming servers, as well as communication with automation systems.
A Mac version of Telestream's personal IP MAPone will make its debut at NAB. Priced below $1,000, MAPone for Mac provides videographers and reporters with a flexible and cost-effective document transmission solution that allows you to view and approve digital daily data, new shots, and other edited materials over any conventional or wireless IP network. MAPone for Mac transcodes and delivers broadcast-quality media directly from Apple's Power Mac G5 systems or PowerBook notebooks running Final Cut Pro HD or other QuickTime-based software.
The new Import Component of Flip4Mac MXF provides immediate MXF media import from Sony eVTR and XDCAM systems for Macintosh users.
The Flip4Mac's export WMV component, available now, allows Mac users to create Windows Media 9 Series SD or HD files directly from QuickTime-based applications, including Final Cut Pro HD, Final Cut Express HD, iMovie, QuickTime Player, Discreet Cleaner, and the new Squeeze 4 media compression suite .
