Harris Corporation will demonstrate video surveillance for radio and television stations interested in updating their IP tracking systems, during the International Radio Broadcasting Convention (IBC) for its acronym in English), to be carried out from 12 to 16 of September, in Amsterdam.
The NetXpress Intraplex audio platform on IP, allows transmitters and engineers to reinforce the safety of production spaces, taking advantage of the new Intraplex video module that can be added to new or existing NetXpress systems in the studio or transmission sites.
Complete solution empowers engineers and staff of study control the transmission from the study with the same NetXpress platform used for AES transport and analog audio, data and voice from the studio to the transmitter.
The new video surveillance application uses low MPEG-4/H.264 video compression bit rate for send unicast or multicast video, which can be viewed on one or more PCs anywhere on the IP network. The analysis software of video in the Intraplex NetXpress encoding module, automatically detects people entering zones designated, as well as objects taken or left, and sends alerts with still images or full-motion video over the IP network for alert security personnel. The app maintains logs of these events, along with associated images.
The demonstration at IBC will be a platform to see how the NetXpress NX-AVC-1 encoding module works as margin device within the audio platform system Intraplex® NetXpress over IP.
The NX-AVC-1 module receives analog video from a camera, encodes the video to MPEG-4/H.264, MPEG4 single profile or MJPEG, and at the same time runs the ObjectVideo Analytics engine to generate alerts based on user-defined, created, and stored in Harris software.
