David Helfand, winner of an Emmy in editing, and Michael Tronick, director of films such as "Hairspray" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" will be some of the speakers present at the World Postproduction Conference that will be will take place within the framework of the NAB fair, to be held on the 18th to April 23 in Las Vegas, United States.
The organizers also announced that this year Avid Technology, leader in the creation of tools for media, will return to the exhibition floor of the NAB and there will share space with traditional companies in the fair such as Sony, Thomson, Panasonic, Canon, Dolby, Evertz, Harris, JVC, Ross Video, Vitec Group, Adobe Systems, Autodesk, Digital Vision AB, Quantel and Vizrt, among others.
The post-production conference, which is being held for the sixth year, will take place in five days and offer more than 200 sessions of advanced training, providing a real picture about dynamic content creation for videos and movies. Topics to be played this year include Avid edition, edition in Final Cut Studio, digital video production, Adobe Premium, and New Media 2.0, among others.
Another of the novelties of this year will be the segment of sessions specialized in editing and production techniques for news and sports.
