As announced since the NAB fair of the year In the past, Panasonic began shipping the new VariCam 3700 with reference AJ-HPX3700, a solid state camcorder with P2 HD technology, cinematic quality.
The VariCam 3700 offers AVC-Intra 4:2:2 recording 10-bit. Comes with 3 2/3 and 2.2 megapixel CCDs for capture 1920x1080 images natively. Can work with AVCIntra 100 for maximum quality or AVC-Intra 50 or DVCPRO HD.
The HPX3700 has 4:4:4 RGB output over a dual link (via HD-SDI) to provide pristine images for flows without compression or for composition of visual effects, at the same time which records 4:2:2 on camera.
The VariCamn 3700 inherits the impressive dynamic range, color space and depth of field of the Varicam AJHDC27H based on tapes. Has excellent sensitivity (F10 to 2,000 lx), 14-bit A/D processing and color correction for accurate images, as well as a range of speeds and settings of the shutter. It is equipped with seven gamut modes such as SD, HD and FilmLike, and offers correction of chromatic aberrations.
Camera speed varies between 1 and 30 frames per second (fps) in increments of a frame.
This camera records on P2 memory cards, which eliminates the digitization process. With five 64GB P2 cards installed, can record up to six hours and forty minutes (400 minutes) of AVC-Intra 100 to 1080/24p; thirteen hours and twenty minutes (800 minutes) of AVCs 100 to 720/24p; ten hours and forty minutes (640 minutes) in AVC-Intra 50 format and five hours and twenty minutes (320 minutes) in DVCPRO HD.
The VariCam 3700 has a basic price in the United States of almost US $ 60 thousand.
