Canon expanded its portfolio with the introduction of new products at NAB. Additions include HD lenses, pan-tilt robotic cameras, and professional camcorders.
At the fair it presented novelties such as the HJ14ex4.3B wide-angle lenses for HD television that combine an extended zoom range of 14 times and a wide angle of 4.3mm; the second generation of HDgc lenses, KJ17ex7.7B, which offers a high added value in the image and performance compared to the previous version; the PAN-tilt robotic camera system BU-50H with remote control, designed to provide high-definition images in sites such as churches, security areas and government buildings by having a maximum noise level of NC30; and the DJ40x14B HD zoom lenses for day and night, which have the ability to capture images in total darkness when they are illuminated by an infrared light.
The company also showed off the new shoulder-mount HD XL H1S and XL H1A HD camcorders, which carry 20x video lenses with three independent manual adjustment rings (focus, zoom and iris), as well as manual focus and zoom control; and the XH A1S and XH G1S handheld camcorders that incorporate a wide range of controls to customize the image, display and operation, and are ideal for filming documentaries and social events.
