During the last NAB in Las Vegas, Vizrt showed a new version of its cross-platform suite Viz| MPS, a complete platform that offers real-time graphics and video content to internet browsers and mobile devices.
While most solutions work with graphics embedded within video streams, resulting in a low resolution and in non-personalized content, Viz| MPS keeps graphics separate from video content up to the last moment. Video composition and graphics occurs on the user's display , with 3D graphics that do real-time rendering on each platform (the phone or the PC). This creates the highest possible graphic resolution and makes the content specific to each platform.
Like Viz| MPS is integrated into the Vizrt product suite, the station production workflow remains unchanged, but content can now be distributed directly to any platform, be it mobile devices or browsers for PC. The chart operator simply activates the program and the Viz server| MPS determines what content graphic distributes to each client.
During NAB, Vizrt showed an integrated production environment where graphs are produced on a workstation Viz| Trio and distributed via Viz server| MPS to mobile phones and PCs. The operators of Viz| Trio can distribute the graphics created in both SD and HD and other definitions specific for phones, in order to comply simultaneously with the requirements of each type of screen in multiple markets.
The Viz render engine| Engine provides graphs in real-time, hardware-accelerated on the client, which enables customization and localization of notices addressed to certain audiences. Broadcasters can create high-quality commercials aimed at audiences with certain demographic characteristics, in a new business model. An optimized server ensures that only a limited amount of graphics is sent and that the video more appropriate to be sent in flow or on demand.
