Harris presented at Caper the complete package of solutions for NewsForce news for HD/SD newsrooms. Based in the architecture of shared storage servers Nexio from Harris, NewsForce is an HD/SD news system complete that gives the news area a tapeless workflow, based on files from field editing to setting on the air of the edited news.
NewsForce product family includes editors optimized to make quick edits and satisfy Demands of live news producers: NewsForce ES, a high-resolution, high-performance editor; the NewsForce Desktop, Proxy editor that operates on desktop PCs; NewsForce XNG, a software-based editor for laptop use, for field and newsroom use; and the proven and recognized Velocity NX, an editor with all the necessary features to edit promotions and carry out elaborate works.
All editors of this line are based on speed, flexibility and fault tolerance provided by the network Nexio Storage (SAN) and provide optimal integration with ENPS, iNews and other news systems (NCRS), in order to automate end-to-end the workflow of the news.
At Caper, Harris demonstrated integration between NewsForce and Apple's Final Cut Pro. There it was evidenced how the work between these two systems allows for editing direct over the Nexio SAN, making it possible to have the material even during ingestion and sharing media and lines of time with NewsForce and Final Cut Pro editors. Plug-ins for Final Cut Pro allow the search of contents and meta data within the Nexio SAN; the review on the fly for shot selection and integration with NRCS.
