The Synergy SD production digital switcher continues to surprise with the release of new features for 2005, including new effects, new operational features, control facilities, some hardware improvements and support for the latest version of OverDrive. As for the new hardware, it is worth highlighting a new more powerful control panel CPU, keyboard functions and removable USB storage. New control interfaces include robotic cameras, audio mixers, character generators, and product compatibility from many manufacturers.
Version 3.0 of the OverDrive production control system includes applications for news, sports, ceremony and live event programs.
Ross Video will introduce the complete RossGear MD product line to complement Synergy MD switchers . This RossGear MD product range includes a wide variety of modules that transparently accept both SDI standard definition and HD-SDI high definition signals. Along with a modular 2RU MD framework, Ross will present modules designed for distribution, conversion, synchronization, multiplexing and demultiplexing of audio/video signals. It is worth mentioning its new UDC-8225 multiple conversion module, which can convert between any two formats of SD and HD, with advanced video deinterlacing, noise reduction and signal scaling machine with the highest possible broadcast quality.
