Brazil. During the 2025 NBA Finals, held in Oklahoma, ESPN Brazil deployed the AEQ Olympia 3 system, integrated by LineUP, for the management of the audio of announcers and commentators at one of the sporting events with the largest global audience.
The coverage is part of a process of technical modernization that the chain has been developing in recent years. ESPN had already worked with AEQ solutions in major international sports events, such as the one that took place in Rio in 2016, and the experience accumulated in that context served as the basis for standardizing its operation with the Olympia 3 system.
Designed for major sporting events, AEQ Olympia 3 is a state-of-the-art commentary system, with native integration into IP environments, intercom and software control.
The project included the replacement of the commentary panels used at the São Paulo headquarters, both in external booths and in live broadcasts. In total, eight units of the system were implemented with the aim of adapting the local infrastructure to the technical standards required by large-scale international productions.
The technical integration made by LineUP made it possible to optimize audio monitoring and mixing, as well as make precise adjustments to the input and output levels. In addition, the stability of communication between narrators, commentators and technical management was reinforced, a determining aspect in coverage that operates with multiple production points and decisions in real time.
In Oklahoma, the system was installed directly in the stadium's commentary area, operating over IP infrastructure and with compatibility with standards such as Dante and AES67. Its performance ensured operational stability and live audio quality in an environment that demands mobility, synchronization and immediate responsiveness.

At the same time, Olympia 3 was also integrated into ESPN's sound booths in São Paulo. Thanks to its IP architecture, it was possible to articulate a distributed production, allowing remote teams to maintain the same level of technical control and sound quality as in a face-to-face operation, even with professionals working from different locations.
In a context in which large sports coverage increasingly demands greater flexibility, reliability and distributed production capacity, ESPN Brazil's experience in the 2025 NBA Finals reflects the consolidation of IP flows as an operational standard in international broadcasts with high technical demands.
