Peru. Between January and May 2025, Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, granted 71 Single Concessions for the provision of public telecommunications services nationwide.
This figure represents an increase of more than 29% compared to the same period in 2024, which shows sustained progress in the expansion of connectivity in the country.
The Deputy Minister of Communications, Carla Sosa, pointed out that this increase responds to the growing demand of citizens for more connectivity alternatives, especially in Internet and cable television services, which lead the requests.
The Single Concessions are authorizations granted by the MTC to natural or legal persons so that they can provide public telecommunications services at the national level, such as fixed telephony, mobile services, Internet and cable television.
