Mexico. The Hub is the new centre specialising in post-production services for cinema, series and premium content. The complex opens its doors in the City of Guadalajara, as an innovative and collaborative proposal for the Mexican and international audiovisual industry.
Promoted by the production house Imaginary Spirit Films, led by Boris Quintero (CEO), together with the producers: Osvaldo Zárate and Yankel Stevan, among other partners, the Hub was born as a strategic alliance with recognized companies, such as AO Estudios, by the prestigious sound engineer Odina Acosta (more than 140 films in his career), and Bruja Azul, by the filmmaker Sofía Gómez Córdoba. This effort is joined by the technical support of Cinema Máquina, experts in data security and deliverables for global platforms.
Conceived as a collaborative ecosystem, The Hub offers first-class facilities, state-of-the-art technology and an open access policy, where each production can incorporate its own professionals and choose services in a modular or comprehensive way.
Facilities include:
• Dolby ATMOS 11.1 mixing room, designed to international standards by experts from Singapore.
•HDR colour correction room, equipped with the Sony BVM-HX310 4K Trimaster monitor, a world reference in colour.
•Professional SDR room, ideal for deliveries on standard or broadcast platforms.
• Editing room, online room, meeting room and coexistence areas designed to enhance the creative process.
The Hub also seeks to integrate its servers with Cinema Máquina in Mexico City, allowing remote and real-time workflows between cities.
Flexible post-production services with an international vision
In addition to technical equipment, El Hub offers: High-profile colorists and sound engineers, selected according to the tone and needs of each project. Deliverables in all formats required by platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, HBO, among others.
Secure content storage and distribution system, backed by the experience of Cinema Máquina. Rental of camera equipment, lights and costumes, including RED 8K cameras, Panasonic; as well as ZEISS lenses, light plants, transportation, and more.
A 360° vision for local and international filmmakers
More than a technical center, the Hub is part of an integral strategy of Imaginary Spirit Films to offer a 360 service, from pre-production to the final deliverables. The company has alternate offices for costume fittings, makeup and production meetings, as well as one of the most complete costume warehouses in Guadalajara.
In addition, the team offers personalized advice to access the Cash Rebate of Jalisco, with experience in projects already benefited by this state stimulus.
"Cinema is not made alone," says Boris Quintero. "That is why we created a space where each production can feel supported, without imposing processes or conditions. You can come just to mix, to make color, or to do everything with us."
For his part, Osvaldo Zárate added: "We are interested in collaborating, not competing. We want to be allies of those who are telling stories. We accompany the projects as if they were our own and connect with the right talent at each stage," he concluded.
