Colombia. With the support of Era Electrónica, one of its distributors in the country, Panasonic presented all its Pro AV solutions in Medellín, including the novelties launched at NAB Show 2025.
The event, held at the headquarters of the local channel Telemedellín, was attended by Marcelo Meirelles and Rafael Plaça from Panasonic Brazil, as well as the entire Era Electrónica team, who attended to the nearly 60 attendees who participated in this day.
In conversation with TVyVideo+Radio, Marcelo Meirelles, said that "We are very happy and very happy to be here once again. We have here some new equipment that we just launched at the NAB fair in Las Vegas, such as box cameras, high-end PTZ cameras with many advanced resources, artificial intelligence already included in this type of equipment, such as auto tracking for people tracking, auto framing for automatic framing. Also, to further automate operations in television channels and professional video in general."
He highlighted that one of Sony's best-selling cameras in Latin America and around the world is the CX350. This result is thanks to its one-inch sensor, connectivity resources, compatibility with protocols such as SRT and NDI, already by default and especially by prices. It's a small, robust and complete camera. And at the event they took the opportunity to present the new CX370 camera, which follows the line of the CX350 and has advanced features. It will be available in the region starting in June.
Regarding the Colombian market, Marcelo Meirelles mentioned that with PTZ cameras they have had very good results. "We have a couple of customers who use those cameras, they are very happy. We are benchmarks in reality shows. Here in Colombia with channels such as RCN, for example, the House of the Famous. I can say that it is those two products, with the CX350, that we are focusing more on the Colombian market."
During the day, both companies took the opportunity to relaunch the Lumix line of cameras, a portfolio of mirrorless cameras with full-frame sensors and micro 4-thirds sensors, which bring many advantages for customers in that sector.
Finally, the Panasonic representative indicated that the expectations in the market in Colombia and Latin America "are always the best. Yes, we are always very attentive to political and economic issues in all parts of Latin America and here we see that there is a lot, a lot of potential and we are looking forward to being there working on the opportunities we have in the Colombian market. Very happy and with many very good expectations."
