Latin America. First integrated into BMW car models in 2005, HD Radio has come a long way. This year marked 20 years of continuous innovation in digital radio, offering improved sound quality, more channels per station and timely emergency alerts, all with no subscription fees.
Xperi celebrated HD Radio's history with a timeline showing its remarkable growth, now reaching 115 million cars and 60% of new vehicles shipped in North America. In 2011, this technology was adopted in Mexico.
At the NAB Show, the company showcased two imposing HD Radio-equipped vehicles: a 2025 Harley-Davidson Road Glide and a 2025 Hyundai Genesis G70. The latter also introduced DTS AutoStage, the next-generation media platform for cars, which complements HD Radio Technology by offering a visually rich, content-centric radio experience.
