Latin America. The Caper Show ended in Buenos Aires, with an important number of visitors that was around 3500 professionals from the audiovisual industry in the region.
Merlin Distributor, together with all its local distributors, presented on the exhibition floor the products of its brands Panasonic, Lumix, Canon, JVC, Datavideo, Telycam, IDX, HedBox, LiveU and SIRUI, to which it carries out its distribution and business in the Latin American market.
From the stands of its resellers in the participating country in the classic Costa Salguero venue where Caper Show 2024 was held, both in BVS, TV Group, Carbi Sistemas and Megaservice, the interest of visitors could be attended to with inquiries and demonstrations, bringing the most recent product news from each of the manufacturers, the attendance of Merlin Distributor's team of professionals at the show, shows its constant commitment to the development of our industry as it has been doing in almost four decades of existence.
Edson Marion, CEO of Merlin Distributor expresses the importance of his company's presence at the leading broadcast fair in Argentina and his optimism that it will once again be a market that leads the region: "It is always a necessity to be present at CAPER Show, where professionals and leaders of our industry turn there, together with our distributors throughout the region and where it gives us the opportunity, together with our business partners in the country, to present the most recent technological innovations recently launched on the market by our represented brands" – adding about the current situation of the Argentine professional market – "We see with great optimism the signs of recovery that the market is achieving, increasingly with clearer rules to be able to carry out their business to our distributors and to be able to import products, thus having all producers and broadcasters the possibility of accessing the necessary technology to be able to carry out their audiovisual projects."
The brands present
In the case of BVS, the company led by Facundo Favelukes allocated an important sector of its stand for all Panasonic products, giving an appreciable preponderance to the brand and where it also had the almost exclusive presence of Renato Goya from Panasonic to assist in all consultations and give demonstrations to all visitors who required it.
Rodrigo Costa, Panasonic's Sales Manager was very pleased with his company's role at the international convention: "We have made for the first time the presentation of the LUMIX line of cameras in Argentina, which we are in charge of since this year for the entire region, in addition to a strong exhibition of all our products on the floor of Caper Show, where all visitors were able to see Panasonic products at the booths of BVS, Carbi Sistemas and TV Group, both our line of studio cameras, camcorders and the new line of PTZ cameras, where we have received with great pleasure the interest from the professionals who have come to all our booths at the show".
In the case of TV Group, in the center of the convention floor, it had an important stand where it prominently exhibited product lines from Panasonic, Canon and Datavideo, along with its extensive innovation solutions that cover a wide spectrum of needs in both the Broadcast and Corporate segments, as highlighted by Renso Orio. Commercial Director of TV Group: "We have had a great convention, with a lot of interest from all those who have visited us and always maintaining our mission of providing the best technology that our customers need, always ensuring the success of their projects as we have been doing for two decades".
There was the launch of LUMIX in Argentina presenting the new Panasonic Lumix S5II camera, with its line of lenses, designed for versatile and high-performance audiovisual productions. It also showcased several models of Canon's professional cameras that allow images to be captured of the highest quality.
Within Datavideo, TV Group showed the manufacturer's great novelties in its line of PTZ cameras with AutoTracking from the manufacturer, cameras with AI tracking, ideal for automated productions, also added to the Voice Tracking 100 System, which fully automates the management of cameras, microphones and transmissions in educational or corporate rooms, allowing a smooth operation without human intervention.
Fabio Zuccaratto, Film and Broadcast Coordinator of Canon do Brasil said: "We have had our products in several booths of Carbi Sistemas as well as TV Group as official distributors of our company's Broadcast & Cinema lines in the country and they are developing the Argentine market effectively" adding Victor Dupret, Latin America account manager of Merlin Distributor on the work of the official resellers in the country: "We have done an excellent Caper Show with the entire product line together with our partners who have been working in the Argentine professional market with excellent performance and technical support for all our customers".
Pablo Bisio, CEO of Carbi Sistemas remarked that in its stand strategically located at the entrance and one of the largest of the convention: "We have presented all the novelties of the new Canon camcorders, we have also had a space to present Panasonic cameras, in addition to Telycam's PTZ cameras, which has a very important product lineup that ranges from the simplest cameras to PTZ with a one inch, Free-D for Unreal rendering and a 12G output that you can have full NDI per network. It is an attribute that no other camera has and for example, as a success story in Argentina, are the cameras that Artear is using."
In the case of Megaservice, the company led by Juan Carlos Agra had a strong demonstration of all the main technological innovations of Datavideo, among which the SE-2600 switcher and the PTC-145AT camera stood out.

With HDMI, 3G-SDI, and streaming outputs, it connects to multiple devices with ease. Equipped with 3.5mm microphone and line inputs for exceptional audio quality. In addition, among other attributes, it has automatic AI tracking with a single click, which allows smooth camera movements without the need for a specialized operator."
