Colombia. During the period from January to March 2024, Colombia reached 6.23 million television connections, of which 6.14 million were to subscription TV and more than 90,000 to community service, according to figures provided by the ICT Ministry.
Likewise, gross operating revenues received by operators of the subscription television service were recorded, which reached $838,000 million pesos, while the community television service registered $6,711 million pesos.
In relation to advertising, the gross revenues received by operators of the subscription television service reached $3,854 million pesos in the first quarter of 2024, reflecting an increase compared to 2023, when a value of $1,790 million pesos was obtained. Meanwhile, the gross income from advertising received by community service operators reached $77 million pesos.
The main technologies of the Community Television service include Analog HFC, which has 82,320 associates, and Satellite, which has 3,708. In terms of subscriptions, HFC Digital has 3.5 million subscribers; IPTV by fiber, 1.3 million; Satellite, 587 thousand, and Analog HFC, 181 thousand.
