Thanks to the LDInstitute
and the ESTA Training program, training courses and workshops in new technologies and software have become the best way to improve personal and business skills, and to move towards the latest developments in design and technology in the industry. This year, during the three days leading up to the exhibition, October 16-19, attendees received training in areas such as Automated Systems for Lights, Design Fundamentals in AutoCad and Event Control, courses offered by ESTA; additionally, courses were taught in MiniCad/Vectorworks and High End Systems, features, creation and control; offered by the LDInstitute.
Some of the options presented are cited below:
LD Assistant
It is a software that arises from the combination of CAD technology with the latest generation of CAD tools, which allows to develop linearly design processes, improving the operation and facilitating the learning of the program. LD Assistant is used by more than 1500 lighting designers around the world, with a full range of design accessories on Mac/Windows platforms. It is an application offered by Design & Drafting Services.
Petite Series
They are portable reflectors that offer an "all-inclusive" solution since the luminaire is part of the carrying case and includes all the necessary accessories. Half of the case is the reflector and the other half is used to house the accessories. Together, they make up a lightweight and easy-to-operate reflector suitcase. They are modular since they have a joining system that allows to form walls of light and make combinations of units of 2 and 4 lights indistinctly. The lamps can be placed vertically or horizontally thanks to a removable clamping ball joint. Additionally, the Petite series of portable reflectors features remote electronic ballasts that provide instant ignition and operate at high frequency to avoid interference and flickering. The ballasts include a switch per lamp allowing a light output in steps of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.
Virtuoso Control Console
DXIt is a small and adjustable model that uses the same operating system of the traditional Vistoso console, built by the house DMX universes. This new model allows the optional addition of 4 more universes units. It is offered by Vari-Lite Inc. This company additionally presented its VL2201 and VL2400 series light systems.
Arrisun 5 Event
Offered by ARRI Lighting, this event lighting system created to decrease assembly time and costs when many pairs of daylights are required. This system has a standard set for exhibitions, shows and other events where high levels of output and low level of watts in daylight are required. It offers high levels of color presentation and low heat transmission ensuring perfect lights for products and models.
Kino Flo
He presented at LDI the new series: IMAGE 80, IMAGE 40 and IMAGE 20. Each option is equipped with DMX addressing technology and manual light controls. With a fluorescent energy optimizer, the IMAGE DMX can illuminate everything from an object on a table to full transmission studios with blue and green chromakey cycs . The IMAGE 80 has controls for individual operation of lights. The IMAGE 40 has 4 lamps (popular for lighting video studios with blue and green chromakey cycs ) that can be easily installed on ceilings thanks to their low weight. The IMAGE 20 is a compact version of the IMAGE 40, it has 4 controllable lamps as a single resource that allows you to work closely with the subject.
