United States. Thomson Broadcast revealed that Wink-TV selected paragon DCX transmitters from the Multi-Segment Depressed Collector line in order to increase the range of coverage in the transmission and improve the efficiency of the technology thus boosting the total production to 55 kW.
These transmitters are aimed at modulations and broadcasts of UHF DVB digital television compatible with DVB digital TV and ATSC TV signals using the high power of MSDC-IOT, which allows to reduce energy consumption thanks to the fact that it acquires an efficiency of 100% over conventional IOT technology.
For Keith Stuhlmann, Chief Engineer of Wink-TV "the optimization of our production is a priority. With the Paragon DCX we are also achieving lower costs of ownership through the efficient and robust performance offered by this generation of transmitters."
