United States. JVC Professional Products Company, a distributor of video and audio equipment for the professional and consumer markets, announced its collaboration with SpectraCal to create a custom calibration interface in calMAN Commercial Software for the new DLA-RS60U and DLA-RS50U 3D-enabled D-ILA series projectors.Calibrating projectors through on-screen menus and remote control has been complicated processes. However, with the Direct CalMAN, the process is as simple as adjusting the relative height of the bars on a chart. According to Gary Klasmeier, product engineering manager at JVC, "the new interactive interface streamlines the calibration process while making a complete report of the results, turning the workflow into a conscious and repetitive process while improving accuracy and efficiency."
CalMAN, which communicates directly with JVC projectors, offers three levels of support for JVC's DLA-RS60 and DLA-RS50 home cinema projectors, providing access to individual controls such as brightness and contrast adjustments in the computer interface without the need for the remote control. In addition, its interactive graphics allow you to configure the output of the projector to the desired standard.
