field
Wafian showed two direct to disk video recorders
for field use with 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 cameras. The HR-F1,
for 4:2:2, it is a full HD resolution portable recorder of
10-bit, which uses the intermediate format of CineForm. This
Recorder is very resistant, with DC power supply and
an appropriate size to fit into a monitor case.
Offers up to 10 hours of master-quality recording on one drive
hot-swappable hard drive.
Additionally, the HR-F1 allows other burning options such as a 160 Gb flash disc that stores up to two hours of recorded video at 160 Mbps. This option is ideal for applications where vibrations occur or sudden movements.
On the other hand, the recorder of HR-2 video, 10-bit, 4:4:4 dual link, is aimed at digital cinema segment and records in Cineform 444 to 360 format Mbps. When commercially available, the HR-2 may export recorded clips directly to DPX files.

FFV reached an agreement with Grass Valley to develop a kit
Rev Pro-based recording for Sony Betacam SX camcorders.
The kit has been designed to replace the tape elements
of these cameras and turn them into tapeless systems by means of the
Drives Rev Pro-SX. These will also be able to record in HD or SD, already
that the kit includes electronic elements that convert the
signal to digital, taking it directly from the CCD sensor.
As part of the OAP (Open) alliance Alliance Partnership) of Grass Valley, FFV also develops attachable recording solutions for analog cameras based on Rev Pro drives. The devices will incorporate a A/D converter in the Rev Pro mountable on the back of a analog camera. In this way, any analog camera can be incorporated into a tapeless digital production flow and users will be able to capture, store, edit, exchange and archive content.
