The two companies were awarded an Engineering Emmy for their precision focus system. This is a new feature built into the camera lens that allows operators to ensure fast and accurate focusing of high-definition images, in various conditions.
This system, developed in 2001, solves critical issues of focus in HDTV production from shallow spotlights and the lack of size and resolution in the camera's viewfinders. This is not an autofocus system but an assistant that can be operated momentarily or automatically to make precise adjustments to the lens and obtain optimal focus.
The focus accuracy assistant is in its third generation and now features improved focus response features, reduced light loss, and reduced size and weight.
