Network Electronics has announced plans to introduce significant and sophisticated add-ons to its Flashlink fiber optic transport platform and ConQuer signal processing products at NAB 2004.
The norwegian company will present the N-Box, responding to the need to find a solution in a single ultra-compact card. The N-Box is a new equipment for the ConQuer and Flashlink which houses any ConQuer/Flashlink card (except DWDM) to its standard rear panel. The unit offers a modular, highly professional and flexible solution for applications where space is limited or only one card is required. Four N-Boxes can be installed in a 1 RU cabinet to accommodate applications that require multiple N-Boxes and these can also be stacked on top of each other using desktop mounts.
Network Electronics will also introduce a ConQuer module for embedding and desembbering AAV-MUX and AAV-DMUX analog audio, an HDSDI-CHO-2x1 card for automatic protection switching, a new ConQuer distribution amplifier, an asynchronous DA-SDI-NRC - SDI distribution amplifier, a DA-AA distribution amplifier for analog audio a DA-AES distribution amplifier - AES, DA-VA broadband distribution amplifier - analog video.
As far as Flashlink modules are concerned, Network Electronics brings to NAB a D-422-MG data transceiver - for multiple RS-422 and with GPI multiplexer, and a CWDM -16 multiplexer for a single 16-channel fiber.
Finally, Network will also present new features in its line of VikinX routers and Thor management platform.
