Argentina. For the transmission of press conferences, policies and of all kinds, parliamentary meetings, public hearings, own contents, Senate Sessions in the Senate Precinct and multiple and varied legislative events, the Senado TV Argentina channel adopted sennheiser wireless microphone systems.
Its technicians have long been working with Sennheiser products and in general, they are satisfied with this brand that works well, even because of the difficult architectural conditions of the historic building in which the Senate is located.
"As usual, our legislative institutions are located in historic buildings with high-rise rooms covered in marble. However, you can imagine that, with its extensions, thick walls and coatings as indicated, the use of wireless microphones is a real challenge, "explained the technical managers of the channel, Hugo Boria and Ariel Cravero.
With the addition of Sennheiser wireless microphones, improvements in audio signal quality were achieved. But there was another difficulty that caused those responsible for SENADO TV some headaches: "In certain meetings of great legislative, political or social importance, the massive attendance of media that arrived with their own wireless microphones interfered with our systems. Many reporters also had the Sennheiser brand and used the same standard frequency bands. Interference often occurred, causing distortion of the audio signal. An anomaly that could not be allowed at this level and in this area, "recall those responsible.
In search of a solution, the technical managers of the station went to the company ARS, official representative of Sennheiser in Argentina. Experts recommended the new SpeechLine Digital Wireless series. The system does not work with the usual UHF band but works with DECT technology which avoids annoying interference. In addition, it is perfected for the transmission of oral language. In the television area they are satisfied with the system: "The interferences, so far, stopped occurring."
Naturally, for a television channel that broadcasts daily from the Chamber of the National Senate, aspects such as the aesthetics and professional image of the microphones also influence. The technicians welcome the various aspects of the new system: "The SLDW series combines a modern design and an excellent finish with professional audio equipment."
The technical managers of SENADO TV, satisfied with the performance, requested the acquisition of 14 SLDW systems: eight with headband microphones and six with handheld microphones. Headphones are mainly used in television, on news and on recording sets. Handheld microphones are used to cover events, conferences and parliamentary committee meetings. Eng. Hugo Boria and Ariel Cravero confirm: "With the SpeechLine series we managed to solve the interferences, satisfactorily meeting our needs."
