Colombia. More than 400,000 people from Colombia and abroad connected through the different transmission channels to enjoy the three days of programming of Colombia 4.0, which this year was carried out virtually, between the first and December 3.
In total, 418,662 people participated in this event in the conferences, panels and workshops, through the virtual platform, specially designed for the event, but they could also access the contents through social networks and regional television channels (21,375 on platform, 58,207 on networks and 339,080 through regional channels), in which the contents of the ten tracks were shared, that were developed this year: animation, video games, music, media, advertising, entrepreneurship, Fintech, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and industries 4.0, in addition to the development of different workshops, by more than 200 national and international speakers.
According to the data released by the virtual platform of Colombia 4.0, the cities from where the event followed the most were Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Barranquilla. And from abroad, viewers were connected, mostly from the United States, the Dominican Republic, Chile and Mexico, but there were connections from countries such as Germany, Spain, France, Azerbaijan, New Zealand and South Korea. The event was enjoyed in a higher percentage by men than by women, since 59.7% of the attendees correspond to the male gender.
"We are very excited about the results of the tenth version of Colombia 4.0. We had a great challenge in developing the event in the midst of the current conjuncture, but once again we were able to demonstrate that technologies are our great allies, and allowed us to reach all corners of the country and break borders with one of the most beloved meetings by Colombians, "said the ICT Minister, Karen Abudinen.
In addition to the conferences, a commercial exhibition of 72 companies was also developed; and a business roundtable, in which the closing of agreements for 450 thousand dollars was achieved, and several musical shows, which included the presentation of nine Colombian bands, such as the artist from the island of Providencia Elkin Robinson, Lee Eye, Buendía and Las Áñez, among others.
