Latin America. The company AJA Video Systems has announced the new 8K support for its HDR Image Analyzer 12G, a real-time HDR and WCG monitoring and analysis platform developed in collaboration with Colorfront.
The next version of free software will feature monitoring and analysis of up to 8K/UHD2 HDR for high-raster content with 12G-SDI for higher bandwidth workflows with the simplicity of single-wire connectivity.
HDR Image Analyzer 12G fuses AJA's production-proven video I/O technology with Colorfront's HDR and WCG image analysis tools, including waveform, histogram, and content vectorscope monitoring and analysis up to 8K over 12G-SDI for OTT transmission and production, post, quality control, and mastering.
Within a compact 1RU chassis, HDR Image Analyzer 12G offers users a complete set of tools for monitoring and analyzing SDR and HDR formats, including PQ (Perceptual Quantifier) and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG).
"Driven extensively by 8K advancements in Japan and across Asia, there is a growing international demand for powerful production tools that facilitate the creation and delivery of ultra-high-definition content," said Nick Rashby, president of AJA Video Systems.
He added that "the HDR Image Analyzer 12G was developed to support higher bandwidth content and provide customers with accurate color accuracy, and the new addition of 8K support will power higher-resolution workflows as 8K adoption progresses across the industry."
