Latin America. In order to support broadcast engineers at events, Belden relaunched its series of tactical fibers. It is optical fiber with a special protection of polyurethane, commonly used in the Olympics. This material is shock-resistant while still having the flexibility needed for mobile production.
It literally withstands abuse, and allows for rapid deployment. An example would be the B96566, which is 2-wire single-mode fiber, and which can be delivered both in coil to connectorize in the field, and already finished at the required distance and wound on a fast deployment rail.
Continuing the trend towards the transmission of signals via IP, Belden developed its "catsnakes". In addition to the traditional solution ("snakes"), Belden has network cables specially created for audio over IP (Dante or another protocol). Among the models that attracted the most attention is the 1305, whose design covers both rough use (multi-row conductors for more flexibility, with double anti-impact lining) and protection of signal quality (the "catsnake" uses the Belden patent of the "glued pair" to prevent the movement from separating and destroying each pair of the network cable, and this affects the integrity of the IP signal).
As a third novelty, at the IBC expo in Amsterdam, Belden presented the new flexible coaxial 4694F, which is an RG6 designed for mobiles like the traditional 1694F, but which supports 4K links (SDI-UHD in 12Ghz by a single BNC connector).
