Colombia. The National University of Colombia opened the calls for the selection of two of the Commissioners of the Audiovisual Content Session of the Communications Regulation Commission, CRC, one as a representative of civil society and the other as a delegate of the audiovisual sector. Those interested can apply until October 4.
The selection of the Commissioners who will be part of the Session of the Audiovisual Content Commission of the CRC will be in charge of the National University, chosen by the Ministry of Education for the design and development of the process, through which the professionals who will represent civil society and the audiovisual sector will be selected to guarantee pluralism and informative impartiality, promote national production and defend the rights of audiovisual consumers.
The CRC, as the sole Regulator, will be made up of two sessions: the Communications Commission, composed of four (4) commissioners together with the ICT Minister, and the Audiovisual Content commission made up of three (3) more commissioners.
The Commissioners elected, through the call made by the National University, will form together with a third Commissioner, appointed by the regional public operators of the television service, the Session of the Audiovisual Content Commission.
The call is aimed at professionals in careers such as: Law, Social Communication, Journalism, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Education, International Business, Financial, Public or Business Administration; Telecommunications, Systems, Electrical or Electronic Engineering; Film and Television.
