Argentina. MediaKind closed the first half of this 2019 with three awards received in the last edition of NAB 2019: 'Best technological innovation' and 'Best live broadcast' (IABM BaM Award) for the first 6K mosaic transmission to multiple channels in the world, and as 'Best product of the year' in the category Asset management, automation and application of distribution of placement and contribution rights (Prism).
NAB chose MediaKind (a joint venture between One Equity Partners and Ericsson) for its work in delivering outstanding live and on-demand multimedia experiences.
Olie Baumann, technician and senior specialist at MediaKind, explained that in December 2018 they worked together with Deutsche Telekom, Tiledmedia, Magnum Film and INVR. SPACE to deliver the world's first 360° live sports stream, at the basketball match between Telekom Baskets Bonn and EWE Baskets Oldenburg from the Telekom Dome in Bonn, Germany. "The service was for customers of Magenta VR, Deutsche Telekom's virtual reality content and technology provider, through an exclusive consumer app. This experience reinforced the potential of our services and we were able to offer new possibilities for streaming content."
Regarding the IABM BaM Award, also received at NAB 2019, it is an award given to outstanding innovations that deliver real and creative business benefits. Arun Bhikshesvaran, Marketing Director at MediaKind, added: "To have received these three awards is an achievement and a huge honour for everyone involved in the project.
