International. Formula 1 partnered with The Dream VR to bring a new visual experience to F1 fans. From December, they will be able to immerse themselves in a digital and interactive entertainment experience with a 360º application and VR.
In this way, Formula 1 content will be offered to more than three million users through The Dream VR, a technology provider capable of transmitting this type of content on a multi-device platform in 180 countries.
Thanks to the new F1 VR and 360º channel, available on any device compatible with The Dream VR app, fans will be able to share the excitement of the starting grid, the podium celebrations, and the best Pirelli laps. Also, it will be possible to 'walk' along the paddock, enter the exclusive facilities, feel the adrenaline of the team's garage and share the experience of the fans in the stands.
Users will be able to access the content of the 2018 Grand Prix Mexico, including never-before-seen scenes from Lewis Hamilton's fifth world title celebration. More Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula 1 content will also be available for fans to live and feel the nerves before the race. These engaging 360º VR experiences will be recorded in ten races next year and all content will be available on the F1 channel of The Dream VR app.
The first experiences of the 2018 season will be available before Christmas on The Dream VR app.
Alberto Palay, Co-founder and CEO of The Dream VR, said: "For us it is a pleasure to be able to carry out a collaborative work with the most popular and prestigious motorsport championship in the world such as F1. Above all, it is very pleasant to help fans to see F1 in a way never before conceived, becoming interactive spectators. Formula 1 is a sport where details make all the difference: what could be better than offering fans the opportunity to experience racing up close by the Paddock Club, in the team's garages and having the freedom to decide what to watch at all times?"
