Brazil. Comrex presented in Brazil its product Opal, a device that allows you to easily make links between radio stations and their external contacts. The equipment generates a link to which the contact accesses from any browser or device, without the need for special equipment or technical knowledge.
"Normally we did that through a domain and a fixed IP. The novelty that we present in Brazil is that it is now supported in the cloud. Today they only need to connect the Opal in their networks, generate links to send to contacts and obtain excellent quality audio," explained Raúl Hun, sales director for Latin America at Comrex.
He added that this system facilitates remote connections because they don't need any special codecs. And while broadcasters will have to pay a small cost, they will save themselves the need to have a domain and a fixed IP.
Another of the novelties that Comrex presented in Brazil, was its Field Tap application, through which connections can be made with the Comrex receiver in the studio from the smartphone, avoiding the problems that a call may have. The application is free and easy to use, it becomes an emergency portable.
