Mexico. Patricio Wills was appointed by Televisa to head the Content Production area in the new position of President and Head of Studio of Televisa Estudios, where he will have the responsibility of giving continuity and solidity to the content renewal process that the company began at the beginning of 2017.
Patricio Wills will report to Isaac Lee, Chief Content Officer of Televisa and Univision, and among his responsibilities will be the supervision of talent, the development and production of all the content that Televisa makes for open and pay television.
Wills has more than 30 years of experience in international production and is one of the most recognized filmmakers of contemporary series in Spanish. During his career, he has worked with several of the most prominent Latin American authors, including Nobel Prize winners Gabriel García Márquez and Mario Vargas Llosa.
Wills has extensive executive experience. He was executive director and partner of Producciones RTI in Colombia, President and creator of Telemundo Studios, and in 2016 he created, together with Univision, the company W Studios, the production house of which he is President. For Televisa he produced "La Piloto", one of the most successful productions of 2017, which ranked first in Mexico and the United States. Currently, W Studios works on several projects for Univision and Grupo Televisa, such as "La Piloto 2", "El Último Dragón" and "La Bella y las Bestias".
After successfully directing the production of various contents, Rosy Ocampo will leave his executive functions, to concentrate on the production of different and innovative content, in which he has always excelled, including several projects that will originate from Los Angeles, about which details will be given later.
