Mexico. JVC's low-cost, high-end products feature live IP streaming; This will be an advantage for the new television stations that will be created in Mexico, before the upcoming release of DTT concessions, said Pedro Mees, Sales Manager for Latin America of JVC.
"To the new television stations that will be generated in Mexico, we can offer a solution at a very affordable cost, because something important is that we implement our IP flow for the entire line, for cameras that cost less than US $ 2 thousand, up to shoulder cameras with removable lenses. The performance of the equipment differs, but this IP workflow is present in all our equipment. That is, a small television station will have accessible technologies to deploy information locally," he said during Expo Cine, Video y TV 2017.
On the JVC solutions presented at the Mexican event, Mees described: "We presented in the region what we launched at NAB Show 2017; we bring the equipment and show it to Mexican customers, we already have some demonstrations with our distribution people. The product that is causing the most interest is ProHd Bridge, which is UpLiks 4G, which works with two or four cards and is a different concept from backpacks, because it is an extension of the local network. It is a VPN that can have all the benefits that are available within the station itself. It has the broadcast of video streaming, in addition to communication that can be integrated with a matrix, such as Clear-Com. You can talk to the cameramen as if you were in the studio."
He added: "It's a product that has caught the attention of customers and we have a lot of demo orders and we have some purchase orders. We are very satisfied, because this product is in line with the line of action of JVC in recent years, which is to offer a solution for newscasts on the streets".
