Chile. The Undersecretary of Telecommunications, together with the country's Regional Governments, began the process of notifying the renewal of concessions to the concessionaires of citizen community radios, whose term of validity for the concession expires in 2025.
Considering that the public tender to be called will depend on the date of termination of the concession, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 4 of article 13 of Law No. 18.168 of 1982, those who will have their concession available in the Public Competition for Citizen Community Broadcasting have been notified by official letter and/or by e-mail. corresponding to the Second Semester of 2024 and wish to apply.
In the event that a concessionaire has not received the notification, and it is in their interest to renew the concession they currently hold, they must express their intention to do so before May 14.
To do this, you will need to:

Complete the application letter expressing your interest in participating in the Public Contest for Citizen Community Broadcasting, corresponding to the Second Quarter of 2024, which must be entered at the following link: https://tramites.subtel.gob.cl/oficinadepartes-web/recepcionDocumento.html.
Participate in the Public Contest for Citizen Community Broadcasting, corresponding to the Second Quarter of 2024, whose call will be published in the Official Gazette on May 15, 2024, to apply for the renewal of the aforementioned concession.
Those concessionaires that do not present themselves in the Public Tender of the Second Quarter may be called in the Third Competition, provided that there are no other applicants for that concession.
In the coming weeks, those who must renew their concession and who will be able to apply in the Public Contest for Citizen Community Broadcasting, corresponding to the Third Quarter of 2024, will be notified by official letter and/or email.
The entity asked the concessionaires of citizen community radios to keep their data updated in the Undersecretary of Telecommunications, so that they can receive their notifications and information without inconveniences.
