Brazil. During the last version of SET Expo, Luiz Padilha, vice president for Latin America of Sony, explained the vision of the company in what has to do with 4K and its adoption by the viewer.
He said that "If you compare two Full HD and 4K screens, and a 4K with High Dynamic Range, you will realize that it is no longer necessary to have a distance of two or three meters to see the image with quality with the latter. With this technology there will be an explosion of the 4K market for the ease for the viewer."
And although there is still no regulation on the subject, he added that today all TV manufacturers are producing their 4K screens with High Dynamic Range, which will become the time for the viewer, the user, to have a percentage differentiation.
"For me, the time is to look at how it will be possible to have an agreement between everyone. Today we have a study group where the issue of the standardization of High Dinamic Range is discussed, which will be reported in depth during IBC, "said Luiz Padilha.
