Streambox presented at IBC2007 a completely robust version of your Transport system Portable Video for news gathering, responses from emergency and armed forces operations. This robust encoder is ideal for environments with extreme temperatures, and exposure to bad weather and demanding handling are frequent. Video transport solution uses Streambox encoder ACT-L3 and advanced compression technologies.
The system is integrated by a super-compact portable device, a handle rugged for easy carrying and battery life Extended. It measures 5 centimeters high by 30 centimeters width and 24.5 centimeters in diameter with a weight of 6.8 pounds. This video transport system provides the user with the maximum flexibility in terms of mobility without sacrificing performance, reliability and quality.
Streambox also introduced the new Store and Forward feature, which expands the ability to storage, management, and transmission of video streams HD and SD over IP-based networks, from all systems Streambox. This optional feature allows the field journalists transfer files and, simultaneously, start playback, allowing the news center access the story even before the recording has been made completed. This feature is particularly useful in live broadcasts where the required video quality exceeds the available upstream bandwidth.
Finally, the new SBT3-9100 high definition video transport was introduced at IBC in September. The SBT3-9100, a transport system of End-to-end high-definition video, offers complete motion, audio and high-definition video type broadcast to 1080i/720p, real-time, satellite and IP-based networks. HD encoder/decoder works transparently with the full range of Streambox systems and solutions.
