Colombia. Under the slogan Digital television and citizen participation, the I Encuentro de Televisiones Iberoamericanas will be held from September 10 to 13 in Medellín, Colombia, an event in which the participation of more than 80 Ibero-American televisions and 30 international experts is expected, with the main objective of advancing in the development of digital television as an instrument for participation ón in Latin America.
During these four days, spaces will be opened for work, participation and promotion of initiatives aimed at different interest groups, such as representatives and professionals of Ibero-American televisions and atEI partners, Ibero-American university students and young people from the Antioch region.
In addition to the itineraries dedicated to each group, activities common to all have also been programmed, among which the conferences "Television, Culture and Participation", "Television and Human Rights" and "Multiple Literacies" stand out.
This event is promoted by the Association of Ibero-American Educational and Cultural Televisions – ATEI, the Ibero-American Educational and Cultural Television Program – TEIb, the Cooperation Program of the Ibero-American Summits of the Heads of State and Government, Plaza Mayor: Conventions and Exhibitions Medellín, in addition to Teleantioquia and Telemedellin as host televisions.
In the same way, the III Ibero-American Exhibition of Educational, Cultural and Children's Television Programs will be held. Señal Colombia participates as an expert in the Formats Workshop, in addition to being part of a meeting of Ibero-American co-productions.
