Mexico. Cinematic broadcast is a technique that combines the visual aesthetics of cinema with the versatility and practicality of broadcasting, thus allowing the creation of high-quality content at a more accessible cost and in shorter production times. This is a strong trend in the Mexican industry, as highlighted by Eduardo Echeverría, director of Virtual Corporación de México.
"In recent years, we have witnessed a remarkable transformation in the Mexican audiovisual industry. From my perspective, this evolution has been characterized by a significant shift in the way content is produced and distributed, driven largely by the growing demand for cinematic quality combined with the efficiency and accessibility of traditional broadcasting. Thus enabling the creation of high-quality content at a more accessible cost and in shorter production times."
He added that cinematic broadcast has opened up new opportunities for creativity and experimentation in audiovisual storytelling. The ability to combine cinematic aesthetics with the dynamics of live streaming has generated fertile ground for innovation, giving rise to visual and narrative proposals that previously seemed unattainable.
"In the Mexican context, this transformation has been especially relevant, given the crucial role that the country plays in the production and distribution of audiovisual content in Latin America. The adoption of cinematic broadcast has allowed the Mexican industry to position itself as a benchmark in the region, offering high-quality productions that rival those of the most developed markets."
About NAB Show 2024, he highlighted that "our expectations for this edition of the NAB Show are high, especially with regard to the contribution of content virtually using innovative technologies, such as technologies that allow the creation and transmission of high-quality virtual content. This includes the use of virtual environments created using state-of-the-art LED displays, HDR image processors, advanced camera tracking systems, and augmented reality technologies."
In addition, he expects to see significant advances in content contribution technologies, with a focus on speed and efficiency in data transmission. This includes much faster and more efficient content contribution systems, enabling instant and seamless distribution of content across various platforms and devices. "These advancements are critical to meeting the ever-increasing demands of global audiences and ensuring a seamless, high-quality viewing experience," he concluded.
