Brazil. The Blackmagic Week event will have its second edition in Rio de Janeiro. This event, which will bring together enthusiasts, professionals and lovers of the audiovisual production industry, will take place on October 3 in Barra da Tijuca and October 5 at the Facha Faculty in Botafogo.
The event will be attended by leading industry professionals, including Blackmagic Design's digital camera expert, Tor Johansen, winner of six Emmy Awards in direction and production. Prior to joining Blackmagic Design, Tor ran an independent commercial production company and worked for clients such as The Beverly Hilton Hotel, Neiman Marcus, InStyle Magazine, The Discovery Channel, ESPN, MTV, The Magic Johnson Foundation, among others.
Another important name is Affonso Beato, acclaimed director of photography, member of the AMPAS - Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars), the ASC - American Society of Cinematographers and the ABC - Associação Brasileira de Cinematografia, of which he was founder and president. For the past 13 years, he has taught Cinematography at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, where he is an Adjunct Professor and has been awarded an Honoris Causa. In 2018, Variety magazine named him one of the top 10 film instructors in America.
Completing the team of Brand Ambassadors, we have Cristiano Moura, Master Trainer in the editing software Davinci Resolve, official instructor of Blackmagic Design, who teaches all courses in Brazil and is director of Proclass, a school with official certification of Davinci Resolve, and Fabio Angelini, official Ambassador of Blackmagic Design in Brazil.
This second edition of Blackmagic Week will offer a variety of activities, including product demonstrations, interactive workshops and lectures given by internationally renowned experts.
