Peru. The Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, granted the good pro of 27 frequencies for the FM broadcasting service and one medium wave, in 15 rural locations of the country for an amount of 696 thousand soles.
This award will allow three rural areas of the Puno region (Tiquillaca, Vilque and Pusi) to have radio signals for the first time. The other stations will be located in towns such as Huanipaca (Apurimac), Jamalca (Amazonas), Langui and Layo (Cusco), Pampachiri (Apurimac), San Pedro de Larcay (Ayacucho) and Pariahuanca (Junín).
Of the total frequencies awarded, 18 are located in rural areas and of preferential social interest.
