International. GAMERGY is the most important gamer meeting in Spain, with a great projection and impact on the video game community. It is a key meeting for all gamers, fans of the world of video games and the online world, for its clear vocation to turn this space (real and virtual) into an area of interest also for companies, institutions and other initiatives that share and develop activity in the national and international market.
In its latest version at the end of 2022, held at IFEMA in Madrid, the company selected to take care of all the audiovisual part, vital in such a show, was Fluge for its ample technical capacity and great prestige in the market. The technical managers of Fluge Audiovisuales decided to entrust the entire Intercom system and internal communications to AEQ technology, as well as the assembly and technical support of operation also to AEQ personnel present in all phases of installation, previous commissioning, and of course in all the days of GAMERGY 2022.
The rental division of AEQ prepared for the appointment two complete Intercom systems for the coordination of the production of different Gaming events in the two independent scenarios set up for the appointment. In addition, a commentator unit, Olympia 3, is also integrated for "casters", which supplied the audio in production.
Each Intercom system was located in the production control room of a stage. The largest Intercom system and commentator unit was located on stage 2, in Hall 6. This pavilion featured a main stage, called 1, and stage 2 or secondary. In addition, there was also the food-truck and dining area. The other Intercom system was installed on stage 3, which was in Hall 4 of IFEMA.
For the operation of scenario 2, there was initially a configuration of 10 user panels and 6 wireless beltpacks, in addition to a commentator unit. The system chosen was AEQ CROSSNET to have AoIP integration with Dante technology and other external audio sources. The wireless part consists of AEQ XPLORER belts, initially estimating a pair of access points to cover the entire necessary area. The beltpacks support 3 cameras, an alderman, a stage combat controller and an auxiliary. Finally, for the commentators, an AEQ OLYMPIA 3 digital position was used, which is also connected to the matrix by Dante.
The use of IP technology throughout the assembly simplified the wiring tasks, minimized the previous hours of installation, and allowed to offer great versatility in the operation, with countless changes in real time to adapt to a production as agile and dynamic as the live broadcast of video game games requires.
Finally, in IFEMA scenario 3, a somewhat smaller system was deployed, where 7 panels and 3 wireless beltpacks were needed, also connected to a system with AEQ CROSSNET matrix.
The entire project was coordinated by the commercial manager of AEQ, Eduardo Guerrero, together with the company's product manager, Roberto Tejero, in collaboration with the technical services of Fluge Audiovisuales.
