Latin America. AJA launched Bridge NDI 3G, a high-performance 1RU device that enables reliable, high-density, high-quality conversion to/from SDI and NewTek's NDI over IP video protocol.
The flexible and intuitive gateway appliance supports 4K and HD multi-channel workflows and is designed to help streaming, production, and proAV professionals move seamlessly between multiple platforms, protocols, and connectivity types.
Bridge NDI 3G has a big impact with two built-in 10 GigE NICs for NDI I/O, as well as high-density SDI connections for up to 16 channels of 3G-SDI I/O, offering up to four channels of 4K or 16 HD channels, or a mix of HD and 4K. NDI encodes/decodes in a compact form factor.
The device features an intuitive interface and system management screen that simplify the installation, operation and configuration of Bridge NDI 3G quickly and securely. With a standard web browser, technicians, engineers, operators, and producers can access the interface remotely to view and manage content, including local monitoring preferences. Operators can also browse, bookmark, freely tag and filter a large volume of NDI sources on the network, as well as tag any SDI input or output, and view all I/O activity at any given time.
Bridge NDI 3G can be easily used to convert SDI camera and playback sources into NDI streams, enabling simple integration into NDI-compatible workflows, including virtualized productions that leverage NDI-based switches. Using a common network, these sources can be located anywhere within a facility, allowing for seamless integration of multiple production islands into a unified workflow.
In contrast, NDI transmissions can be converted back into SDI ecosystems via BRIDGE NDI 3G configurable I/O, allowing NDI signals to return to SDI routing systems and traditional baseband workflows.
